upstream_apt.pl - search backwards (removes dots from tail ) 
example: 
 installed version: 3.3.1.3.4
 repository version: 3.3.2.2.3
 remove 3
i   r
3.3 3.3, so hide that package from output


upstream_apt2.pl - search forward  (leaves heads before dots ) 
example: 
 installed version: 3.3.1.3.4
 repository version: 3.3.2.2.3
 leave 3
i       r
3.3.1   3.3.2, so show package in output
