open science fellowship project

This is the repo for the project I'm working on during my time as an open science fellow.

The project itself is called ALPACA - Automated Localization and Parcellation of Auditory Cortex Areas, for a brief description you can check my original submission for the fellow program here (currently only in German, but I'll upload an english version soon). Interested in the topic? Check the open knowledge map for the search term "auditory cortex" and based on pubmed here.

It'll contain information about all project parts, from ethics committee submissions to finished code, as well as resources like e.g. ALPACA related tutorials and example data. Furthermore you can find an open lab notebook documenting and tracking the progress as well as changes on a weekly basis.

Please feel free to contact me wrt any question or idea via mail (herholz dot peer at gmail dot com), twitter (@peerherholz), the brainhack slack team (@peerherholz) or the project channel (#alpaca).

                                                               alpaca logo

The ALPACA project logo was made using an amazing freely available alpaca picture from Max Pixel and (cytoarchitectonic) auditory cortex ROIs from Morosan et al. overlaid on the right hemisphere of freesurfer's fsaverage brain. No alpacas were harmed during the creation of this logo.
