First of all: THANK YOU for this great work. I use really advanced software in my productivity ToolChain for writing big projects. Tomboy immediately found it's way into my toolchain. It is simple yet SUPERB.

A new Hotkey to Toggle:

Show/Hide Icons Toolbar in Notes

Why this is so good?
Because of many reasons:

  • Firstly, the essence of Tomboy is being multi floating notes. This can focus attention on relations between notes. Overall structure.

  • With this option we can increase the screen acreage notes get. This will be useful even on big monitors, not to mention laptops. enhancing attention even more by moving eye focus potential.

  • We can have many more notes on screen

  • Can make Tomboy function as a Virtual Board for index cards. Great for writers, academics, managers, schedules etc.

  • If notes are small, can function as a stickies Virtual Board too.

  • Can help rearrange any project with many notes much easier, faster and more effectively within the same screen space.

  • And other benefits.

If the dev(s) try this for themselves and resize and rearrange many notes, they will see how beautiful this functionality is and will love the new look too.

  1. Ideally the minimum is to have a Hotkey to toggle top toolbar for any note.

  2. Additionally, it would be good if it can be user assigned.

  3. Ultimately, it would be nice to have a checkbox in Preferences or even better in a menu on the mother-panel (Search all notes) for faster access.

Just the Hotkey would be a great start.

Thanks for the fabulous Tomboy, I love it.
