Support for local hostname (say http://ubuntu-pc:9090 or http://raspberrypi:9090) would be good to have. Right now, a proper domain name or a local address is needed for a successful connection from the bookmarklet to the server.
This would be a useful feature for those users who use services like Tailscale to connect to their home servers remotely (as Tailscale enables users to use their own custom hostname to connect to devices).
Thank you for creating linkding and this extension.

Just a heads-up, I ran this as a docker container on my local laptop, so url was http://localhost:9090, this worked fine for me. So I think there might be something else in your setup that makes this not work?

Thank you for checking. I can't run it as localhost since linkding is installed on a home server. I re-checked it and it still doesn't work as expected. The redirection is not working properly with the extension, even though browsers installed on all devices in the network including apps can access the URL through the hostname.
