jackhmmer vs mmseqs2

Thanks for developing these scripts to run alphafold in modest hardware!
I was wondering if there are any plans to implement mmseqs2 instead of jackhmmer? Will be great to be able to accelerate this step.

Hi Ruben,

Thank you for reaching out! We currently have no such plans (though we will match any upgrades from DeepMind to the simplified version of the AlphaFold model we are implementing). This is a great idea, though; we will keep it in mind! Feel free to put in a PR if you would like to write it yourself.
