Now that #2751 is closed, are we able to re-look at a function to convert post content from classic to blocks via PHP?

I am also looking for such php solution for this. I saw the issue was opened 2 years? anything new here?

This would be incredibly useful for all of the WP Importer plugins. Currently all imported content is converted to a Classic Editor Block
