Are you reporting a bug or runtime error?

Neither, yet. Not sure if this is a feature request or a bug given I'm reporting this based off of documentation, and React 19 is not yet out of canary status.

React 19 has announced that React.createElement is being removed: https://react.dev/blog/2024/04/25/react-19-upgrade-guide#installing. React-select is still using React.createElement in its transformed JSX.
